A HOME FOR THE ARTS
Starlight includes a first-of-its-kind outdoor performance venue with performances presented by Central Square's Cultural Anchors: Central Square Theater, The Dance Complex, and Improv Boston, among others. Generously sponsored by ReevX, the Starlight stage can safely host 150 for dance, theatre, and other cultural programs during COVID-19.
On Sunday mornings and Monday evenings, the stage will be shared with Reverend Ellis I. Washington of St. Paul AME Church and other interfaith leaders for service and community healing.

A LIFELINE FOR SUMMER LEARNING
Community Arts Center, Cambridge Community Center, Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House, and Tutoring Plus of Cambridge have generational ties to the Central Square community. They run summer programs for youth and food pantries for families, both of which must now happen outside. Starlight's outdoor youth center will provide a lifeline for these essential community services, ensuring childcare and food security efforts can continue through the pandemic.
Starlight will also be a site for the Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program. Our students will be easily identifiable with Starlight lanyards and badges. If you need help finding something, please feel free to ask them for help.

A CANVAS FOR PUBLIC ART
Art speaks volumes. The entire exterior of Starlight will be covered in scrim, featuring four marquee walls curated by Street Theory, an artist collective, and architectural sketches by Starlight architect, Mark Boyes-Watson. For more on the Street Theory’s Starlight artists, click here.

CENTRAL SQUARE FARMERS MARKET
The Central Square Farmers Market has operated in Central Square for 30 years, providing the community with access to farm-fresh food and locally-sourced goods. They will continue to operate at Starlight, 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., every Monday.

AN OUTDOOR DINING DESTINATION
As restaurants fight to stay open, Starlight’s courtyard will expand the district’s capacity for outdoor dining. Enjoy food and drink from long-time Central Square restaurateur, Gary Strack of Brick & Mortar who transformed his corner of Starlight into Starry Starry.
