A family-friendly day of community goodness! Open to the public and those in need!
Book Swap: Join My Brothers Keeper and Liz the Librarian for a children's book swap! Come and choose from new or gently used books for children ages birth through young adult. Bring your gently used or new children's books to donate to the swap so that other children may enjoy. You do not have to bring a book to get a book, everyone is welcome! If you do donate to the swap, please make sure pages aren't torn, colored on, or mildewed.
This book swap was inspired by the work of fourth and fifth-grade Cambridgeport elementary students in their library class, who worked on identifying problems and solutions to book access in our community. Students wrote the following, "Our problem: That book access is a privilege right now especially because of the pandemic and we want it to be a right! Our solution: Make a giant book swap for the city!"
Clothing Give-Away: The Spot will be offering free gently worn and sanitized fall and winter clothing of all sizes to any person in need.
Food Give-Away: V.I.B.E Inc. will be giving away bags of a variety of canned and dried food. Open to all in need!
Story-Telling: Doria the Story-Teller will be telling 30mins of children’s stories in a socially distant outdoor setting at 12:30PM (REGISTER HERE) and 1:30PM (REGISTER HERE).
