The Metro West Chapter of the Association of Black Social Workers Presents: The 2nd Annual Black Social Work Film Festival. The films chosen are focused on social context that impact communities of color. Each film will include an invitation to the filmmaker and involve expert panelists to discuss the film’s issues including mental health in the black community.
The second Film in the series will feature Knockaround Kids by JOHN Oluwole Adekoje . Two weeks in the lives of three troubled kids caught between the Massachusetts social welfare system and the dysfunctional ways of those ordered to protect them.The film will be followed by a panel discussion with Taneequa Fields LICSW, Roxann Mascoll LICSW Geraldine Vert LICSW, and Dr Kwame Dance.
